Those closest to me know that one of my love languages is gifts.
Giving and getting them
Of course getting things is always nice, you're probably thinking, who doesn't like getting things?
Well I don't just mean store bought things, though those are always nice, some of my very favorite gifts are handmade.
Something handmade almost always means more to me than something bought from a store because it's one of a kind and the person who made it put a lot of time and extra love into it.
Landon in particular has gotten quite good at making me little presents just because he's nice like that.
He's been especially into carving and making things with wood lately.
In fact the little owl in this post was the first thing he ever carved me.
His most recent little "unbirthday present" as I like to call them, was to make some wood coasters for me.
He even hand sewed the little bag they came in!

Aren't they the neatest?
I keep telling him he needs to open up a shop himself and sell these kinds of things.
What are some of your favorite unbirthday presents?

That is so so sweet.... I have always loved making beautiful crafty things for my friends. And getting them like this is really sweet :)
