I haven't been very good about making time for reading lately, but I'm trying to be better about that.
Because I do love it so very much.
I'm currently reading A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith and I'm really enjoying it though I can never seem to read more than two pages at a time...
I recently scored a nice copy of The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls, which I read over the Summer and really loved, as well as a copy of a collection of Lewis Carroll's stories.
You can never have too many Alice in Wonderland books in my opinion.
Also, I'm so happy that chillier weather is here and I can drink tea again.
I can't ever bring myself to do it when it's hot outside. It just doesn't feel right.

What are some of your favorite books?

Right now I'm reading The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. But I read The Woman Who Wasn't There this summer which was intense/awesome. I've been meaning to read The Glass Castle for awhile now. Gotta put that on my list of things to remember!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to set aside some quiet time for reading, or even just getting away from technology! At the moment I'm reading loads of Dickens to prepare for my MA, but that's going super slow too... I'm actually also excited about the weather getting a bit chillier to snuggle up with piles of books! x
ReplyDeleteI am currently reading "Gone Girl" on my Kindle... can't remember the author. But it's about a man whose wife disappears and he is suspected. It's very artistically written and I can't keep my nose out of it!
ReplyDelete- Chelsi from Blondie Diaries
The tea is adorable and thank you for the book suggestions! I've actually been looking for some new reads. :) Book and song suggestions are possibly the greatest gifts a person can give me.
ReplyDeleteYour mug cup is adorable :) I am going to read the unabridged journal of sylvia plath very soon which I am quite excited about

I am also SO psyched that it is becoming officially acceptable to drink tea at all times of the day thanks to colder weather. I spent some of the summer in Scotland where they drink tea 24/7...literally, and I was just like...I belong among these people! Also--I read "Half Broke Horses" this summer by the same author of "Glass Castle", it's her grandma's memoir. ALso really good!! love the blog!
ReplyDeleteSecret Letters by Leah Scheier <3 love it :) oh. and I love your teacup!
